Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Iranian food is still delicious. Dad met a really nice Bahai girl while helping her mother get all her immigration stuff in order at the office, & just a while ago we were invited to eat at their apartment. Jeez, Bahai is a nice religion. Donya's mom is an excellent cook. They've been trying to get space for a restaurant, because it would be a great job for her mom & all. If they can get the lease, hopefully somewhere in Nob, I am so freaking totally reccommending everyone. OMG, so delicious. If you ever ever have the chance to try some quality Iranian cuisine, go for it. Mmmm, that long- grain rice with the perfect amount of oil & that red, sweet stuff. Why do I bring it up? *munches solemnly on re- heated Chinese takeout* No reason.

And guess what? I got the plastic Converse! Oh yes. I'm getting the XX-Highs later, we're currently collecting sufficient funds. Really, if you haven't seen how cool the platics are, searchbox "plastic' at the Converse mainsite.

And I swear I'm drawing stuff, you people who pay half an attention to the crazed Jen's submissions. I just haven't been drawing as much, because I recently bought 8 novels, 3 of which I was replacing, & 1 is coming in tomorrow by order. I still have about 3 or 4 to read & there are a few things I have to re- read & I sort of lose track of time with this stuff, obviously. And already, I need that combined volume of Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wnderland' & 'Through the Looking Glass' that I saw when leaving B&N, having bought the aforementioned novels. Oh, & a few more from Moore. Hey Naz ol' buddy, got lotsa reading material for you when classes start again.

And....
Ah Hell, school.
*spirits falling*
God damn it.
I used to love school. My bestest friends are there. Snowball fights outside on a rare snow day in wintre. Art class. Lunch. Generally relevant curriculum & subject course. English class made sense. Now, it's gone, man. The pussbrain bleeding heart bastards in Gov't & Admin. have destroyed the strained motivation. They're letting kids thru grades without being able to READ properly. Man, I had always thought that everyone knew perfect grammar by the 3rd or 4th grade, but that was before I'd gone to the freaking 3rd & 4th grades. Everything is all quantity, less quality, & I'm really wondering what the gracious Hell happened to good old natural selection? These morons are wasting precious cash. </schoolrant>

Hooray for absolutely pointless posts. I apologize for any wasted time.

"So, uh, why do they call it the Chasm of Death?"
"Well, we tried calling it Big Smelly Crack, but that just made everybody giggle."
And the bleeding heart pussbrains who encourage those advances. *sigh*

I think you've just discovered the dark meaning behind, "no child left behind." It seems to me some children DESERVE to be left behind - too bad school funding is based on how many graduate instead of how many actually learn!

Yep, that's exac-i-tally what I mean.

Ever seen the South Park episode 'Timmy 2000'? I think you'd dig it. Good luck finding it on the internet, they don't show it anymore at the SPStudios site. Anyway, the premise is that Timmy the new kid in class sits in a wheelchair & can only say his own name. The admin. doesn't want to call him 'retarded' like the students, so they say he has ADD. Because of this, he's exempt from homework.
So the other kids pretend they have ADD & everyone has to take Ritalin & they all lose their personalities & Cartman keeps hallucinating. Timmy joins a rock group & everyone loves his show. Phil Collins says he's being exploited & tries to cut off the band. The boys make everyone realize that people like Phil Collins are just trying to hide kids like Timmy away, & the good thing about his band is that you just have to deal with him & everyone thinks it's cool anyway.
Moral of the story: Stop trying to pass off retarded kids as ADD. Ritalin doesn't help. Stop passing off retards with Ritalin & hiding them away. If you just treat them like everyone else, & stop making everyone else suffer for it, everything should be fine.

It's just like 2 Gryphon ranted about gay pride people, if you just shut up about being different, & acknowlege the fact that your difference doesn't matter, people won't treat you like a freak.

Jeez.

Aha! Lucky for you, Ive one almost nothing this summer but watch South Park online. Try [link]. Season 4, episode 51. It's there.

I can't believe that the government is such a tard. No child left behind is just ridiculous. Then again, I guess we should give them something for staying in school. But without taking away from the rest of the kids. I know I would have dropped out by now if I didn't know how to read.

Well, congrats on the Converse if nothing else. They sound awesome :)

Dead account is dead.
I will have to try this...Iranian food.

Also, I look forward to t3h awesome bookage.

And yeah...I know how you feel. I felt kinda good about school starting up again at first - you know, friends, something to do, a bit of fresh air and sunlight during lunch...

But then I remembered all the things that made me miserable this last year.

The last time I did exemplary well was during 5th grade. Before and after it's been the same - average to bad. I'm trying to remember what was so different about that year...

Well, whatever. At least I hope I get to take my chinese class this year.

Yeah, 5th grade didn't suck so much, for some reason. Then in midschool comes a schedule with multiple teachers & classes. It's horrid that as soon as you're so used to the one long, one- teacher class after 5 years, they give you 6- 7 classes.

I guess 5th grade isn't so bad, [maybe] because it's like mastery of the elementary standards. Or something like that. Maybe They just go easier because they know midschool sucks so very much.

Yay, good luck with the Chinese & all. I sort- of wanted to take a CEC course this year, but I'm not sure about scheduling. After school would be nice, but that cuts into precious leisure time.

The Goobacks episode is brilliant, yes?

Yeah, I pretty much go to school because my friends are there & there's a nice library & Art room. There's not much else to do during the Wintre, really. And Hell, if you know how to handle your cash in the first place, you should only take classes so someone will hire you & you therefore have something to do while accumulating more cash.

It's a psychologically sound idea to give you 6-7 classes though - your mind learns things better when it takes things in chunks and has breaks between subjects.

Whatever the case, we still have to deal with it for two more years. I'm not counting college, because all accounts of that are enthusiastic.

When they're not peppered with stories of work overload, of course. XD
