Take the chicken bones, and impale them across his body.

Then watch him bleed to death.

Yeah, I'd be pissed. And track him down.

A really shitty thing to do, but unfortunately the artist has no legal recourse but to accept it. Once you relinquish your original work through a sale, it's pretty much up to the person who paid for it what to do with it.

Even DeviantArt won't help you in cases of "derivative works" which pretty much means that anyone here can use your original works as a base and change it enough to call it their own.

It sucks, but the world isn't fair.

I would personally buy a similar work from the defacing "artist" and film a dog shitting on it, and post the video on YouTube with an explanation.

i think it was wrong to do that, but Decarabia is correct. We cant do shit about it, i owuld never do that to people, but there is fucked up people in this world, what i would do is hack into his account and make his life aliving hell, but thats coming from a person who enjoys art and dislikes people so, yeah. But hint if i do do that, i'll get some one to do it for me.*evil smirk*

The guy obviously has serious issues. I mean, he put his own blood on the painting...

Yeah, I know there's nothing to be done, I'm just noting that no one should ever sell something to this Crank guy.

You might be interested in this situation which was very similar to the one you mentioned. Unfortunately, the victim in this instance was a close friend (as is the lady who brought it to everyone's attention), but since it was "derivative work" the thief wasn't required to remove the offending art.
